Holland was born and raised in a poor Houston, Texas neighborhood by a single mother. Holland’s childhood experiences taught him toughness, resiliency, and determination. Holland’s upbringing also forged a permanent bond with the same type of people he represents now—hardworking men and women.
Holland began his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant. However, he soon realized that his desire to help ordinary folks through extraordinary situations would not be accomplished as an accountant and decided to go to law school.
During law school, Holland earned two academic merit scholarships, was on the Dean’s Honor List, and earned recognition from the Legal Honors Society—Phi Delta Phi. He also worked for several prominent Houston area law firms gaining a variety of experiences. During his last year, Holland worked for a personal injury litigation firm and discovered that he had a passion for helping injury victims fight for justice against big business and big government.
Immediately after graduating, Holland developed a business strategy, obtained his law license, and opened DeKeyzer Law in 2013 with the goal of representing Texans seriously injured or wrongfully killed. Since starting DeKeyzer Law, Holland has recovered nearly ten million dollars through jury verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients.
Holland met his wife in law school. They married shortly after graduating from South Texas College of Law. They now live and raise their four children in Alvin, Texas.
