Holland was born and raised in a poor Houston, Texas neighborhood by a single mother. Holland’s childhood experiences taught him toughness, resiliency, and determination. Holland’s upbringing also forged a permanent bond with the same type of people he represents now—hardworking men and women.
Holland began his professional career as a Certified Public Accountant. He soon realized however, that his desire to help ordinary folks through extraordinary situations would not be accomplished as an accountant and decided to go to law school.
During law school, Holland earned two academic merit scholarships, was on the Dean’s Honor List, and earned recognition from the Legal Honors Society, Phi Delta Phi. He also worked for several prominent Houston area law firms gaining a variety of experience. During his last year, Holland worked for a personal injury litigation firm and discovered that he had a passion for helping injured victims fight for justice against big business and big government.
Immediately after graduating, Holland obtained his law license, developed a business strategy, and opened DeKeyzer Law with the goal of representing seriously injured or wrongfully killed Texans. Since starting DeKeyzer Law, Holland’s firm has represented hundreds of clients and recovered millions of dollars on their behalf.
Holland met his wife at South Texas College of Law and married shortly after graduation. They now live and raise their four children in Alvin, Texas.
